The Mayor’s Welcome

Mayor C. David Perry brought greetings from the City of Penticton to the bridge crowd (he remarked that this was the first time he had spoken to so many people who hadn’t voted for him!). Mayor Perry also pointed out that he had worn his summer clothes – to show us that in Penticton, the people make the weather… even though there had been a bit of rain to send the bridge folk inside, there would be sun tomorrow and the day after. He invited everyone to get out and enjoy what the fair city of Penticton has to offer.

The Mayor also presented Chairwoman Margaret Pearce a token of appreciation from the City. It was a limited print entitled ‘Over a Barrel’.
