FILING OPEN FOR DISTRICT 19 BOARD POSITIONSNew three year terms for the following two DINO Board positions start January 1st for a Western Washington at Large and an Eastern Washington at Large position. Both incumbents, Gay Parrish and Kris Motoyoshi, respectively, have filed already. Names of additional filers will be added to this web site as they file. An announcement was placed in the Penticton Gazette. These positions are open to any ACBL member residing in the respective area. Interested parties may file a declaration of candidacy with the DINO Elections Chairman until 15 July 2008. Declarations should be accompanied by a brief biographical or platform statement. If more than one candidate files for a position, an election will be held in which the respective unit board members vote by mail. Biographical or platform statements will be furnished these unit board members. If a contested election happens, unit presidents will be asked to verify the accuracy of the information on their unit board members. In addition new terms are approaching for a Seattle Unit and a Vancouver B.C. Unit board position. ACBL members of these units interested in serving on the District Board should contact their respective Unit President as these two units appoint their own District Board members. DUDLEY BROWN |
