DISTRICT 19 CHARITY WEEK
DON’T MISS THE 2008 DINO CHARITY WEEK
MARCH 10-16, 2008
This could be your last chance to win free plays!
For the last few years, District 19 has been giving away free plays
to district regionals during the District 19 charity week. However,
the ACBL has announced its plans to phase out District Charity Games
in 2008. That means the 2008 District 19 Charity Week, Mar. 10-16,
could be your last chance to win free plays in this event. So plan
to participate.
Our hand record game will be held during the day, Tuesday, Mar.
11, 2008. We define a day game as any game with a starting time
prior to 5:00 pm. For this game, we will award two free plays to
a District 19 Regional/person for the first-place pair in each Unit
with at least one participating club.
We also offer free plays for the top three pairs (as long as they
are from different clubs) in each day and evening shuffle, deal
and play games for the rest of the week.
Players: Ask your club if they plan to hold a
charity game during Charity Week 2008. If they have not yet registered
with the ACBL, ask them to do so ASAP and give yourself a chance
to play for free at an upcoming regional.
ATTENTION: ALL DISTRICT 19 CLUB OWNERS AND MANAGERS
Fulfill your annual club charity requirements and give your players
the chance to win free plays to a District 19 Regional. Plan to
participate in the 2008 District 19 Charity Week: Mar. 10-16.

We also offer day and evening shuffle, deal and play games for
the rest of the week. So it doesn’t matter which day(s) of
the week you hold your game or whether it is a day or evening game.
There is a session for you. In each of the shuffle, deal and play
games, we will award two regional free plays/person to the top three
pairs in that game, provided they come from different clubs. So
why not give your first-place pair the chance to enjoy a game at
an upcoming District 19 regional at no cost to them?
The players love getting the free plays in the mail but not enough
of our players are getting them. We are prepared to award over 250
free sessions of bridge during District 19 Charity Week but so far
that hasn’t happened. In 2007, we awarded only 92 free plays.
That means over 150 free plays were lost to your players. You can
correct that by participating in 2008. Your players will thank you
for it!
Congratulations to our 2007 DINO Charity Week Hand Record Game
